Here I am again! Are you also enjoying the sunny days we have had the past few weeks? I can't wait to go on holiday (and yet it will take a few weeks for me). I am thinking about which clothes to pack in my suitcase.

And as far as I'm concerned, the dress I'm going to talk about in this blog really can't be missed. And then I'm talking about the… Joka dress!

Now you might think: the Joka dress, haven't I read something about that in a blog before? Well, that's right! In the winter I wrote a blog about the Joka dress with a long sleeve.
In fact, I wore this dress for Christmas. You can read that blog here read back.
Then I ended with the sentence: “I secretly heard that Joka dresses are also in the making for next summer. How cool is that!” Well, the moment that I am going to introduce these dresses to you has come NOW, haha!
Tantilly allowed me to view and try on three dresses from the new collection.
You already saw the first one at the beginning, but I'll also show you that this dress can be perfectly combined with an Ikat cardigan:

In my opinion, this is a super good combination for the summer.
The Joka dress, unlike the winter version, has short sleeves.
That is super nice for the hot summer days, but if it gets a bit chilly on the terrace (or in my case at the campsite) in the evening, then you can easily put on a cardigan over it. And of course you can easily replace the boots with a sandal.
And in terms of colours, I always really like blue, white and red, so this is a great combination!
Then the dress that stands out for me this summer.
And for one reason: I fell in love with the print. It's this dress:

Yellow really stands for sun to me, and therefore summer. I have a fairly pale skin so I was afraid that the dress would make me look very white, but that is not the case for me. And then the print!
This may not be very visible in this photo, so I'll zoom in for you:

How cute is this! Super retro, a lady in a kind of swimsuit sitting on the edge of a blue lemon! Nice and surreal but that's why I like this so much.
What I can also show you with this dress is that the dress itself does not contain a ribbon. The winter version did.
It has to do with the fabric these Joka's are made of. The winter model is cotton. And then a belt is nice, it falls nicely with it. But the summer dresses are made of viscose, if you make a belt of that fabric, it falls less nicely.
But people who know me a little know that I really like to tailor. So I found a solution, namely the flower belt!
You often get that as a gift with your order. That way I can still emphasize my 'narrowest' point, great!
As you can see in the pictures, the Joka dress is a very feminine model with a swinging skirt part. But what also characterizes the Joka is a low back. You said that here:

Especially in the summer this is absolutely not out of place. Let the sun come, your back will also get a little tan!
Then the last model, this beautiful red Joka:

This is also a very nice, flowing dress.
The fabric is so wonderfully airy!
On a sunny day, a dress like this is basically all you need.
You don't need a top or anything underneath, which makes it an ideal dress, you barely feel the fabric. Ideal for a sweaty hot day.
And a white sneaker with the dress would also work fine instead of the sandals I'm wearing here.

Now you know about the different cool new models!
If you think, a Joka dress is really something for me, then you can find them on the Tantilly website here shopping.
There are many more beautiful garments in the new collection! I will undoubtedly show you what they look like in a next blog. Thanks for reading!
Love, Hilde
