How do we actually do it? Tantilly's handmade collection...

I often get asked why we don't tell you more about our handmade collection.

Or do I hear, 'oh I thought you just buy everything.' Well here you go. :)

My name is Chantal, and for many years I have designed all of Tantilly's clothing myself with a lot of love. After many years of experience in the clothing industry, and having worked as a stylist, I discovered that the market for colorful, affordable women's dresses that also sit nicely on the female body, was not that big.

Everything was on the tight side, very tight, and didn't go up to large sizes.

If you had a larger size, you automatically got a shapeless, plain dress.

I've had a lot of requests from customers who wanted a colorful, printed one that would hit the right spots on their body, instead of sitting in the wrong places. ;)

That had to change! From then on, the ball started rolling, and today we are at a point where we sell an extensive collection in sizes S-5XL. And proud I am! :)

From designing and testing fabrics, to drawing models and coming up with color combinations, to the entire production process.
And important to us is, in small editions, so that everything is truly unique.
Our collections keep coming all year round, and we don't do 4 collections a year. :)

We listen to our customers' feedback and actually update the models of the clothing if we notice there is a demand for it.

No long-ordered collections, but quick contact with our workshops, and an adjustment for a customer personally is often no problem.

We test everything and if an article is approved we actually have it made. When everything is ready after a while, everything comes to the Netherlands in the boat and they arrive in the store, packed as little as possible with unnecessary plastic packaging. Then we can send all the articles to you, and we can sell it in our store in Deventer.

I myself have been working on it for a while, and it is always a treat to see it come in. Colorful boxes full of beautiful colors and prints!

All of our clothing is made in small studios all over the world, and our lovely makers are paid a fair wage. We regularly let the makers be in person in our blogs and on social media, so that you actually know who the maker of your favorite item is. You can even leave a personal message in our blogs, and the makers will look at it and see how happy we are with their beautiful work! Very nice to see. :)

We don't buy anything, we create, and everything is unique.

We have a great team of lovely ladies in the Netherlands, without whom we couldn't do it. Even since a few years we also have a tailor-made studio in the Netherlands, where we alter clothes for you.

Shorter pants? That dress with shorter sleeves?

Or just a slightly different model? We make it for you... You also have the choice of fabrics, from which we can make a few models for you. Personal, fast, and made within a few days and on your doorstep.

You can choose from a skirt, a long skirt, trousers with a flared leg or with a wide leg, and even more options! :)
